The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a budget of ₹ 13.46 crore to equip 20 state-run hospitals with modern medical equipment as part of a state initiative to improve healthcare infrastructure and patient care. The allocation is aimed at upgrading diagnostic and treatment capabilities across the selected hospitals.
The procurement plan includes devices such as digital X‑ray machines, ECG machines, ultrasound systems, and advanced phaco machines for cataract surgeries, which will enhance diagnostic precision and surgical outcomes.
The state government has already released ₹ 7.45 crore from the total budget to begin the procurement and installation of the equipment.
This development forms part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s broader strategy to strengthen hospital facilities, ensure timely and accurate medical services, and enhance overall healthcare delivery for patients across the state.
