Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take part in the closing ceremony of the Second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine today at 4:30 PM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where he will address the gathering.

The summit, jointly organised by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has been held from 17 to today under the theme “Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well‑being”, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, scientists, practitioners, indigenous knowledge holders and civil society representatives to discuss strengthening equitable, sustainable and evidence‑driven health systems.

In line with India’s emphasis on mainstreaming traditional medicine and its knowledge systems through research, standardisation and global collaboration, the Prime Minister will launch the My Ayush Integrated Services Portal (MAISP), a centralised digital platform for the Ayush sector. He will also unveil the Ayush Mark, which is intended to serve as a global benchmark for the quality of Ayush products and services.

During the programme, he will release the WHO technical report on training in Yoga and a book titled From Roots to Global Reach: 11 Years of Transformation in Ayush. A commemorative postal stamp on Ashwagandha will be released to symbolise the global relevance of India’s traditional medicinal heritage.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the new WHO South‑East Asia Regional Office complex in Delhi, which will house the WHO India Country Office, marking a significant step in India’s partnership with the World Health Organization. He will present the Prime Minister’s Awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion and Development of Yoga for 2021–2025 to recognise sustained dedication to Yoga and its global promotion, reflecting its role in enhancing balance, well‑being and harmony.

As part of the closing events, he will visit the Traditional Medicine Discovery Space, an exhibition showcasing the diversity, depth and contemporary relevance of traditional medicine knowledge systems from India and around the world.
