The 5th Annual Global Summit on Emergency Medical Services (GEMS 2025) will be held on 1-2 December 2025 at the Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. Organised under the theme "Precision, Preparedness, Performance in EMS," the summit will bring together international leaders, innovators and practitioners dedicated to advancing emergency medical services. GEMS has grown into India's most influential platform for integrated EMS development, and this year's edition aims to push the boundaries of emergency care, disaster readiness and pre-hospital innovation.

GEMS 2025 reflects the growing recognition that emergency medical services represent far more than rapid ambulance response. The summit will emphasise EMS as a multidisciplinary ecosystem that spans prevention, preparedness, real-time response, recovery and resilience. Through expert sessions, keynote addresses, workshops and technology showcases, the event will explore the crucial role of digital health, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, robotics and next-generation communication platforms in strengthening EMS systems. Delegates will gain insights into how global best practices can be adapted to diverse Indian and international contexts.

Commenting on this year's theme, Prof. (Dr.) Tamorish Kole, Chairman of GEMS 2025, said "Emergency medical services are entering a transformative decade. GEMS 2025 is not just an event-it is a catalyst for building systems that save lives. with precision and speed. India is emerging as a global frontrunner in EMS innovation, and this summit brings the world together to accelerate that momentum."

The summit is expected to attract a wide spectrum of participants, including industrial physicians, corporate safety officers, paramedics, EMTS, AEMTS, nurses, emergency managers, fire service chiefs, military medics, epidemiologists and academics. Policymakers, government representatives, technology developers and healthcare administrators will also take part in shaping discussions on the future of EMS. Their participation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the capabilities and coordination required for rapid, effective emergency response.

Speaking about the evolving role of EMS, Dr. Tausif A. Thangalvadi, Co-Chair of GEMS 2025, noted "The future of EMS lies in seamless integration-between technology and human expertise, between the hospital and the field, and between public and private systems. At GEMS 2025, we are creating a platform where every stakeholder can collaborate to build faster, smarter and more resilient emergency care networks."

GEMS 2025 will also offer a robust exhibitor and partnership platform, giving companies and organisations the opportunity to showcase cutting-edge EMS technologies, ambulance and air-ambulance systems, mass-casualty management tools, simulation platforms, medical devices and digital health solutions. Exhibitors will gain unparalleled access to decision-makers and end-users in the rapidly expanding EMS ecosystem, strengthening industry-academia-government collaboration to drive innovation.

Highlighting the importance of multidisciplinary engagement, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Secretary of GEMS 2025, added "This summit is designed to bridge gaps-between industries, sectors, and disciplines. Whether you are a clinician, educator, policymaker, researcher or technologist, GEMS 2025 provides a space to learn, exchange ideas and contribute to shaping the next generation of emergency and pre-hospital care systems."

As emergency systems across the world confront mounting challenges-from climate-related disasters and industrial accidents to mass gatherings and evolving infectious threats-GEMS 2025 offers a vital platform for shaping the future of emergency medical services. By bringing together some of the world's most experienced minds and most advanced technologies, the summit is positioned to drive meaningful improvements in survival, resilience and emergency readiness.
