Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, emphasized the growing significance of Ayurveda in India’s healthcare landscape while addressing the 22nd CII Annual Health Summit 2025 in New Delhi. He urged hospitals and healthcare providers to harness the vast potential of Ayurveda by integrating traditional therapies, wellness treatments, detoxification, and yoga with modern medical practices.
Highlighting Ayurveda’s increasing global appeal, Kotecha noted that holistic wellness programs are attracting a growing number of domestic and international patients seeking comprehensive and restorative healthcare solutions.
He further stated that the adoption of an integrative healthcare model—combining traditional healing wisdom with contemporary medical approaches—will be crucial in positioning India as a leading global destination for medical tourism and in developing an inclusive, world-class healthcare ecosystem.
