The All‑India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, marked its fourth Foundation Day on 11 December 2025 with the launch of multiple new initiatives, expanded clinical services, and a national workshop on developing an integrative protocol for cancer treatment.

Established in 2022 and inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister, the institute has steadily expanded its role as a national centre for Ayurvedic education, research and patient care in Goa. Over the past three years, it has developed 25 specialised outpatient departments and now serves more than 800 visitors daily, providing Ayurvedic medicines free of cost, while recording over 5.25 lakh outpatient visits, more than 31,000 inpatient admissions, more than 77,200 Panchakarma procedures and roughly 1.35 lakh radiology and laboratory investigations.

The institute has achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) and currently hosts 400 undergraduate students, with expanded postgraduate programmes for 49 scholars across multiple Ayurvedic disciplines and specialised courses in Ayurveda dietetics and Panchakarma therapy.

AIIA Goa has strengthened its research and academic ecosystem through collaborations with the Department of Tourism, the CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography, BITS Pilani, the Goa State Biodiversity Board, the Goa Institute of Management and the ACTREC–Tata Memorial Centre, supporting initiatives in integrative oncology, biodiversity, wellness tourism and healthcare innovation.

To commemorate the Foundation Day, the institute hosted a two‑day national workshop aimed at developing an integrative protocol for colorectal carcinoma, bringing together experts to advance evidence‑informed integrative oncology approaches.

It also inaugurated new facilities, including an assessment screening outpatient department, a dental outpatient department, two Panchakarma theatres and expanded inpatient services, and students contributed to the celebrations with a presentation on Ayurvedic dietetic principles.
