WuXi Biologics has secured ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement certification, marking a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to embed sustainability, transparency and responsibility across its global supply chain. The certification is an internationally recognised standard that evaluates how organisations integrate environmental, social and governance principles into procurement processes.
The recognition reflects WuXi Biologics’ structured approach to sustainable supplier lifecycle management, covering supplier due diligence, onboarding, risk assessment, performance evaluation and disengagement. By embedding sustainability criteria throughout these stages, the company aims to ensure consistent compliance with quality and ethical standards while improving traceability, mitigating supply chain risks and enhancing operational efficiency.
Sustainability has also been integrated into WuXi Biologics’ broader climate strategy. The company has adopted science-based targets aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and developed detailed roadmaps to reduce emissions across its operations.
In parallel, it actively engages suppliers to support emissions reduction and climate action across the wider value chain, reinforcing its net-zero ambitions beyond its own facilities.
