Servier India has announced the appointment of Parul Sood as its new Marketing Director, where she will oversee the company’s Cardio Metabolic & Venous Diseases (CMVD) business. In this leadership role, she will drive marketing and digital strategy, strengthen scientific engagement, and expand clinician partnerships across India and global markets.
Sood brings over 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with deep expertise in strategy formulation, brand building, and launching innovative products across orals, injectables, biologics, biosimilars, and new chemical entities (NCEs).
Before joining Servier, she served as General Manager at Zydus Group, leading the BioNext division’s sales and marketing operations for the gastroenterology and hepatology portfolio. Her work spanned key therapy areas including NASH, IBD, IBS, and viral hepatitis. She successfully led the launch and lifecycle management of landmark brands such as Exemptia, India’s first biosimilar of Adalimumab, and Bilypsa (Saroglitazar), the first-ever NCE developed by an Indian company and the world’s first approved drug for NAFLD and NASH.
Sood also conceptualised national and global physician engagement initiatives, therapy awareness programmes, and market creation strategies. Alongside her corporate experience, she serves as an office bearer and lead at the Pharmaceutical Council, WICCI, collaborating with industry stakeholders to advance sectoral growth.
Her earlier experience includes senior roles at Gland Pharma Limited in marketing, business development, and strategic product planning, as well as her career beginnings at Ind-Swift Limited. Known for her collaborative leadership style and strategic outlook, Sood is passionate about driving value for patients, customers, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
