Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated Suzen Medicare’s ₹180-crore intravenous (IV) fluids manufacturing facility at E-City in Hyderabad, reinforcing the state’s growing importance in India’s pharmaceutical and life sciences landscape.
The inauguration of Suzen Medicare’s new manufacturing unit in Hyderabad marks another milestone in Telangana’s drive to position itself as a global hub for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare innovation under its long-term development vision, Telangana Rising 2047.
The project reflects the state government’s strategy of attracting private investment while building large-scale, high-quality medical manufacturing capacity.
The new facility spans around 1.6 lakh square feet and has been set up with advanced German blow-fill-seal (BFS) technology through a technical collaboration with Rommelag, a global leader in aseptic packaging systems. The plant will manufacture large-volume parenterals, including IV fluids and critical injectable antibiotics, used widely in hospitals and emergency care.
Suzen Medicare highlighted that the plant has been designed to meet international quality and sterility standards, enabling the company to cater not only to domestic demand but also to regulated export markets. The BFS technology allows medicines to be filled, sealed and sterilised in a single automated process, reducing contamination risks and improving patient safety.
The project adds to Hyderabad’s expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing base, which already hosts some of India’s largest drug makers and medical supply producers.
