Leica Biosystems, a global leader in anatomic and digital pathology solutions, has announced the launch of ChromoPlex III Triple Detection RUO—a next-generation chromogenic multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection system designed to streamline assay workflows and reduce variability in translational research.
Developed as part of Leica Biosystems’ integrated research ecosystem, ChromoPlex III enables seamless staining on BOND RX or RXm systems, high-resolution scanning with Aperio, and advanced image analysis via HALO software. This end-to-end compatibility supports efficient, reproducible research at the cutting edge of spatial biology and tumor microenvironment characterization.
As demand grows for clinically translatable multiplex IHC tools, ChromoPlex III offers researchers a robust, easy-to-use solution. The system delivers consistent, high-quality chromogenic staining optimized for digital imaging and computational pathology, enabling clear visualization of tissue architecture while supporting downstream AI-driven analysis.
Designed with a plug-and-play workflow, ChromoPlex III eliminates the need for antibody conjugation. Researchers can simply select primary antibodies, assign chromogen colors (brown, red, or green), load the kit onto the stainer, and initiate the assay. Pre-optimized reagents and protocols ensure greater reproducibility and reduced manual intervention.
Karan Arora, Senior Vice President of Advanced Assays, Pharma Services, and AI at Leica Biosystems, stated:
“ChromoPlex III addresses the growing needs of researchers navigating spatial biology and computational pathology. Its chromogenic approach not only aligns with clinical practices but also enables reliable, reproducible results essential for AI-based image interpretation.”
Gustavo Perez, President of Leica Biosystems, added:
“The introduction of ChromoPlex III reflects our commitment to advancing cancer research and precision diagnostics. By merging ease of use with digital compatibility, this solution empowers researchers to generate quantifiable, high-resolution data that supports the development of targeted therapies.”
ChromoPlex III is available now for research use only. Researchers are invited to explore the ChromoPlex III Image Gallery to view interactive whole-slide images demonstrating the system’s staining clarity and consistency—key for AI analysis.
For Research Use Only. Not for Use in Diagnostic Procedures.
