Polymatech Electronics Limited has achieved a significant milestone in India’s medical device sector with the registration and domestic manufacturing of its Vein Finder devices under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017. This makes Polymatech the first Indian company to offer a fully regulated, indigenously developed Vein Finder with a valid CDSCO registration number, integrated digital features, and end-to-end domestic production.

The Vein Finder is powered by Polymatech’s proprietary Near-Infrared (NIR) LED technology and complies with ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 standards, as well as CE safety requirements under the EU Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). The devices are registered with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) as Class A (non-sterile, non-measuring) medical devices, with unit packaging prominently displaying the registration number to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance across India.

Polymatech’s Vein Finder combines real-time on-skin vein visualisation, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, and on-device storage for procedural images and data. The handheld device is designed to enhance clinical efficiency, reduce multiple puncture attempts, and improve patient comfort.

The company is also preparing for pan-India commercial rollout through authorised partners and is advancing regulatory approvals for US FDA clearance, CE marking under the EU Medical Device Regulation, and country-specific certifications in GCC and ASEAN markets. Polymatech plans to introduce new technology products every six months, leveraging its expertise in semiconductors, opto-electronics, and system-level integration.

With vertical integration of NIR LEDs, electronics, and system design, Polymatech aims to reduce reliance on foreign components, supporting supply-chain resilience and localisation under the Make in India initiative. Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are currently manufactured at a subsidiary in Estonia, with phased transition of production to the company’s Industrial Park in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Polymatech Electronics Limited specialises in opto-semiconductors, advanced electronics, and medical devices. The company combines indigenous innovation with regulatory compliance and sustainability, delivering globally competitive products for healthcare, consumer electronics, and industrial applications.
