Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation has officially launched its latest innovation in portable imaging—the FDR Go iQ, a digital radiography (DR) system designed to bring high-quality X-ray imaging to the point of care in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).

Engineered for enhanced performance and usability, the FDR Go iQ integrates intuitive touchscreen controls, including a display at the tube head for streamlined operation, and smart onboard charging for convenience and efficiency. This compact system enables technologists to capture X-ray room-quality images right at the patient's bedside, improving workflow and reducing patient transport needs.

Key features include:

  • A built-in 3D camera with advanced positioning assistance

  • AI-upgradable architecture for future enhancements

  • An extra-large 19-inch display

  • A slim 22.5-inch-wide frame, weighing 970 pounds for easy navigation through tight clinical environments

The system pairs with Fujifilm’s FDR D-EVO III detectors—known for being ultra-lightweight and glass-free—and coated with Hydro AG antibacterial protection. The detectors utilize Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) technology, which delivers sharper images with better dose efficiency than traditional circuitry.

Image quality is further enhanced through Dynamic Visualization II, Fujifilm’s proprietary image processing that adapts to the anatomy and hardware in real-time to improve contrast and detail while maintaining ultra-low radiation doses.

“This next-generation portable DR system significantly elevates imaging mobility, quality, and ease of use,” said Rob Fabrizio, Director of Strategic Marketing, Medical Imaging Systems at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas. “Its slim, low-profile design, retractable column, and advanced charging and control capabilities make it an ideal solution for fast-paced clinical environments.”

With its innovative features and future-ready platform, the FDR Go iQ represents a major advancement in point-of-care radiography.
