Abbott has introduced its FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor in India, a next-generation device that delivers automatic glucose readings every minute directly on a smartphone. Designed to support people living with diabetes, the device enables continuous monitoring without the need for manual scanning and provides instant alerts during high or low glucose levels.
According to the company, this innovation empowers patients to make timely and informed health decisions, improving daily diabetes management.
Kenneth Lee, Regional Medical Affairs Director for Asia Pacific at Abbott’s Diabetes Division, stated that FreeStyle Libre technology is already transforming diabetes care for more than seven million people worldwide. “We are excited to bring this breakthrough to India, where it can significantly enhance diabetes management and empower patients,” he added.
