Gurugram-based Medanta – The Medicity has announced the launch of a new super-specialty Mediclinic on Tonk Road in Jaipur, offering consultations across more than five medical fields, including Medical Oncology, Cardiology, Lung Transplant, Uro-oncology, and Gastrosciences, as well as clinical review for cases requiring lung transplant or chest surgery.
The launch targets India’s rising cardiovascular disease (CVD) burden, including heart disease, hypertension, and sleep apnea, which cause 17.7 million deaths globally and affect Indians nearly a decade earlier than Western populations.
Under the banner of “Mission Save Heart,” Medanta aims to highlight the growing incidence of CVDs among young Indians.
The initiative is led by Dr. B. C. Roy National Award recipient Dr. R. R. Kasliwal, Chairman of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology, Cardiac Care at Medanta, who noted that India accounts for one-fifth of global CVD deaths, according to the World Health Organisation.
The facility in Jaipur reflects the hospital group’s commitment to integrating preventive, diagnostic, and specialized treatments while strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Rajasthan.
