Foundation Stone Laid For Integrated Public Health Lab & Blood Bank At Sadiya Civil Hospital

A major step towards strengthening healthcare in Sadiya was taken today with the foundation stone laid for an Integrated Public Health Laboratory and Blood Bank at Sadiya Civil Hospital, marking a key investment in public health infrastructure for the region.

The ceremony was performed by Bolin Chetia, Member of the Sadiya Legislative Assembly Constituency and Chairman of Assam Gas Company, underscoring administrative support for expanding essential medical services in this remote part of Assam.

Bolstering laboratory and transfusion services is critical as blood banks and public health labs play a vital role in ensuring timely access to safe blood and quality diagnostics, which are cornerstones of effective healthcare delivery and emergency response.

Licensed blood banks and laboratory services help reduce risks in transfusion and improve accessibility of diagnostic care for maternal, surgical, and trauma cases.
