Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, in collaboration with the CardioSafe Foundation, successfully hosted the landmark conference “Innovation in Cardiac Therapeutics 2025” at Crowne Plaza, Rohini. The conference was held with Voice of Healthcare (VOH) as the Strategic Partner and brought together India’s leading cardiologists, electrophysiologists, clinicians, researchers, medical device innovators, and healthcare stakeholders for an in-depth dialogue on the future of cardiovascular care.
Set against the backdrop of India’s rising cardiovascular disease burden, the conference focused on how cutting-edge innovations can be translated into accessible, scalable, and cost-effective cardiac therapies. Through a series of high-impact plenary sessions, panel discussions, live case-based deliberations, and interactive knowledge exchanges, experts explored breakthroughs across interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, heart failure management, lipid therapy, and device-based interventions.
The conference was chaired by Dr Nityanand Tripathi, Principal Director & HOD – Cardiology & Electrophysiology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, who also served as the Organising Chairman. With over two decades of experience in advanced cardiac interventions and electrophysiology, Dr Tripathi set the strategic vision for the conference, emphasising the need to bridge clinical excellence, technology adoption, and policy alignment to improve patient outcomes.
Speaking at the event, Dr Tripathi said, “Cardiology is an ever-evolving discipline, with new technologies and therapies constantly reshaping how we care for patients. It is important that all our healthcare partners understand what the latest innovations are, so we can deliver better outcomes for those we treat.
This platform brings together interventional and non-interventional cardiologists, physicians and general practitioners on one common stage, ensuring everyone is aligned in their approach to patient care.
My message to fellow cardiologists is simple—this is a rapidly changing field, and we must keep updating ourselves by engaging in scientific forums like these. Staying abreast of the latest technologies and knowing how to choose the right therapy for the right patient is key to delivering the best possible cardiac care.”
The scientific programme was curated by a distinguished committee comprising Dr Rashi Khare, Additional Director, Interventional Cardiology and Heart Failure Programme, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh; Dr Sudhansu Sekhar Parida, Additional Director, Cardiology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh; Dr Ankesh Agarwal, Senior Consultant Cardiology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh; Dr Amit Kumar Gupta, Associate Consultant, Cardiology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh; Dr Dinesh Pandey, Associate Consulatant - Cardiology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh and Dr Jogendra Singh, Senior Consultant - IPGI & SSH, Fortis Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Sant Parmanand Hospital who led focused discussions on both established best practices and emerging therapies. Key themes included non-invasive cardiac assessment, coronary and structural interventions, electrophysiology advancements, congestive heart failure (CHF), and newer interventional therapies.
With participation from doctors across multiple specialties—including cardiologists, internists, diabetologists, intensivists, surgeons, and general physicians—the conference reinforced the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to cardiovascular care. Attendees also engaged with the latest cardiac devices, digital health tools, and AI-driven solutions showcased during the event.
Innovation in Cardiac Therapeutics 2025 concluded with a shared commitment among stakeholders to foster collaboration, accelerate responsible innovation, and collectively shape the roadmap for next-generation cardiac care in India.
