Nucleus Genomics Launches ‘Origin’ AI Models to Advance Transparent, Predictive Genomics in Reproductive Health

Nucleus Genomics has announced the launch of Nucleus Labs, its new AI-driven genomics research division, alongside the release of Origin, a groundbreaking family of nine genetic optimization models that surpass all previous accuracy benchmarks in predicting health and longevity from an embryo’s DNA.

Trained and validated on data from millions of individuals, Origin can forecast risks for age-related conditions such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes across diverse ancestries. According to the company, with as few as five embryos, couples can achieve over 50% risk reduction in common diseases like Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and various cancers.

For couples undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF), Origin introduces a transformative approach to planning for long-term health from the earliest stage of life. It allows families and clinicians to make more informed decisions regarding a child’s future well-being, setting a new benchmark of scientific precision and ethical transparency in reproductive genetics.

In an unprecedented move for the genomics industry, Nucleus Genomics has made its scientific models fully transparent by open-weighting them, allowing patients, researchers, clinicians, and companies to access, analyze, and build upon the research.

With the launch, Nucleus also introduced the Genetic Optimization Hub, a new platform designed for industry experts and top researchers to share their work and refine genetic prediction models collaboratively. The company has open-weighted its Origin models on this hub and invited other researchers and organizations to participate, aiming to accelerate responsible innovation in IVF and genetic research.

The release of Origin marks the first in a planned series of open-weighted models, with future iterations expected to enhance optimization capabilities while reinforcing transparency, ethical safeguards, and responsible application.
