AIIMS Raipur and IIT Indore have opened a joint AI lab to build diagnostic tools and predictive analytics for healthcare
AIIMS Raipur has launched an AI Lab and Deployment Centre in collaboration with IIT Indore to develop advanced diagnostic tools and predictive analytics for healthcare systems. The facility will operate through SRIJAN, the bio-innovation wing of AIIMS Raipur, in partnership with IIT Indore’s DRISHTI CPS Foundation.
The newly established centre will focus on developing artificial intelligence-driven solutions aimed at improving diagnostics, healthcare management, and predictive analytics for hospital operations. Faculty members from both institutions presented several collaborative projects during an AI in Healthcare Conclave organised at the facility.
Prof Suhas S Joshi, Director of IIT Indore, reviewed the ongoing projects and assured continued technical support from the institute. In his keynote address, he highlighted that collaborations between medical and technical institutions can significantly enhance healthcare accessibility by integrating clinical expertise with engineering innovation.
The partnership will support the development of AI-based tools for medical diagnostics, along with applications designed to improve hospital and healthcare management systems. It will also focus on predictive analytics to help anticipate patient outcomes and support more informed clinical decision-making.
