Bengaluru-based Kapiva, India’s first modern holistic Ayurvedic brand for millennials, has announced the launch of the Kapiva Innovation Fund (KIF), a dedicated Rs 50 crore initiative aimed at supporting research and innovation in Ayurveda.

Kapiva operates one of India’s most advanced Ayurveda R&D programmes, conducting clinical trials on flagship products and maintaining a dedicated in-house research team.

The fund will back projects across academia, laboratories, and startups, with a focus on developing evidence-based, clinically validated Ayurvedic solutions for real-world health challenges.

KIF is designed to foster an Ayurveda research ecosystem that aligns with global pharmaceutical standards. Supported areas include novel formulations, standardisation and phytochemistry, AI applications in Ayurveda, pre-clinical and clinical studies, bioactive enhancement, new extraction technologies, and tech-enabled wellness models.

The fund invites applications from research institutions, PhD scholars, clinicians, hospitals, early-stage startups, and incubators working in Ayurveda, plant-based therapeutics, or integrative health.

Structured to nurture innovation at every stage, KIF provides capital, mentorship, and clinical resources to projects from early research phases to near-commercialisation, ensuring high-potential scientific ideas are effectively translated into practical solutions.
