Amazon India has announced its entry into the healthcare sector with the launch of Amazon Diagnostics, a new at-home diagnostics service. The platform allows customers to conveniently book lab tests, schedule and track appointments, and access digital reports directly through the Amazon app.

The service has been rolled out across six cities — Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad — covering over 450 pin codes. Customers can schedule doorstep sample collection within 60 minutes, with digital reports for routine tests available in as little as six hours, according to the company’s statement.

The e-commerce giant has partnered with Orange Health Labs to deliver this new diagnostics service.

Amazon highlighted that this launch is a key milestone in its broader vision of building an integrated healthcare ecosystem for Indian customers. “This expansion strengthens Amazon Medical’s foundation, complementing our existing Pharmacy and Clinic services,” the company said.

Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader, Amazon Medical, commented, “Amazon Diagnostics is a major step towards making healthcare more accessible, trustworthy, and convenient for our customers.”

Echoing this sentiment, Dhruv Gupta, Co-founder of Orange Health Labs, said, “Together with Amazon, we aim to continually elevate the diagnostics experience by delivering faster, more reliable, and insightful services for people across India.”

This launch comes on the heels of a $12 million funding round led by the Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund in December 2024. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Orange Health Labs has previously secured backing from investors such as Accel, General Catalyst, Bertelsmann India, and Y Combinator, raising a total of over $50 million to date.
