Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandviya has announced that all female workers aged 40 years and above will be provided with an annual free health check-up.
Healthcare check-ups have also been made mandatory as part of a larger government drive to ensure that women receive all their facilities, salaries are paid on time, and healthcare services are easy to access.
The initiative is aimed at promoting early detection of health issues, improving preventive care, and ensuring better access to medical services for working women. The program will include a comprehensive medical assessment covering general health parameters, screening for common chronic conditions, and other diagnostic tests.
By offering free annual check-ups, the scheme seeks to reduce health disparities and support timely medical intervention for the female employees.
