A new Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic was inaugurated today in Anantapur, marking a significant step toward strengthening healthcare services for military veterans and their families in the region.

The facility was inaugurated by Maj Gen Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana & Andhra Sub Area. The newly opened polyclinic is designed to enhance access to reliable and comprehensive healthcare for ex-servicemen, reinforcing the Indian Army’s ongoing focus on veteran welfare.

The modern ECHS Polyclinic will provide advanced medical consultations along with diagnostic and rehabilitative services, contributing to the expansion of healthcare infrastructure dedicated to the veteran community. It will serve as a key point of care for former service personnel and their dependents, reducing travel burdens and improving access to routine and follow-up medical services.

The inauguration reflects Southern Command’s continued commitment to honouring the service of veterans through dignified healthcare delivery, strengthened welfare initiatives, and sustained institutional support for those who have served the nation.
