Omron Healthcare has announced a new global strategy to expand its electrocardiogram (ECG) business as a core component of its cardiovascular health mission, “Going for ZERO,” which aims to reduce adverse cerebro- and cardiovascular events through early detection and preventive care.
The strategy builds on decades of experience in home cardiac monitoring, extending Omron’s reach from at-home devices into diagnostic and treatment settings in medical institutions to provide seamless support across the full heart-care continuum — from detection and diagnosis to treatment.
As part of this strategy, Omron has made an additional investment in India-based AI health-tech firm Tricog Health India Private Limited to enhance ECG analysis capabilities and address the rising burden of cardiovascular disease, especially in regions with shortages of specialists.
Omron plans to connect its ECG-enabled blood pressure monitors to Tricog’s AI-driven InstaECG platform and expand its remote monitoring service KeeboHealth, which uses home-recorded ECG and blood pressure data to support early intervention for patients at risk of heart failure.
The company also announced the planned transfer of the Heartnote® ECG service business from JSR Corporation, scheduled for early 2026. Heartnote® is a lightweight, cordless wearable patch that allows up to seven days of continuous ECG monitoring, reducing patient discomfort compared with conventional Holter devices and improving the detection of infrequent arrhythmias.
This expansion of the cardiovascular portfolio is intended to support both home and clinical cardiac care and reduce burdens on healthcare facilities.
The overall strategy leverages AI technology, clinical diagnostics, and remote patient monitoring to connect home-based cardiac data with clinical workflows, strengthening care pathways and enabling timely intervention. By integrating these technologies and partnerships, Omron Healthcare aims to accelerate its vision of proactive, data-driven cardiovascular care on a global scale.
