The Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Bombay has launched ATMAN 3.0, an eight‑week accelerator designed to turn early‑stage HealthTech startups into investment‑ready companies. Selected from a competitive pool of 173 applicants, 13 startups have been chosen to participate. Each of these ventures stands to receive seed funding support of ₹1 crore or more, depending on their evaluation outcomes.
Backed by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber‑Physical Systems (NM‑ICPS), TIH‑IIT Bombay operates as a Section‑8 not‑for‑profit entity focused on translating research into real‑world tech applications. Through ATMAN 3.0, the Hub is deepening its engagement with India’s HealthTech ecosystem — helping innovators move from lab‑stage prototypes to market‑ready solutions.
The 13 startups in the current cohort are working on a diverse array of healthcare challenges. Their projects span medical devices, digital health tools, assistive‑care technologies, and clinical‑monitoring systems — tackling issues from post‑stroke rehabilitation and emergency response to diagnostics, chronic disease management, senior‑care safety, and more.
Over the eight‑week program, participants will receive structured guidance covering market research, product development, business strategy, financial planning, regulatory compliance, and investor engagement. Continuous mentorship from domain experts, clinicians, and industry professionals aims to balance clinical relevance with commercial viability — ensuring innovations are both safe and scalable.
The journey culminates in a high‑stakes Demo Day on January 9, 2026, at Novotel, Mumbai International Airport. There, startups will pitch before investors, industry experts, and stakeholders. The event will also provide networking opportunities, facilitate follow‑on funding for previous cohorts, and help shape future collaborations between founders and investors.
