Shares of Star Health rose on June 25, following the announcement of a strategic partnership with Medi Assist aimed at transforming the insurer’s claims process using AI-powered technology and automation.

In a stock exchange filing, Star Health revealed it has adopted MAtrix, Medi Assist’s advanced AI-driven claims platform, as a core part of its digital transformation. The move marks a significant milestone in the company’s push toward faster claims settlement, enhanced customer engagement, and technology-led service excellence.

The platform will assist Star Health in managing rising claims volumes, while ensuring speed, accuracy, and transparency across operations. Leveraging intelligent automation, it reduces manual intervention, streamlines workflows, and introduces a consistent claims experience for hospitals, policyholders, and regulators. Additionally, the AI tools embedded in MAtrix will enable better fraud detection, and minimize waste and abuse.
