

The Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Ayush, successfully concluded its 30th National Seminar on “Management of Illness & Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda” at Scope Complex Auditorium, New Delhi. The two-day seminar, held on 18–19 August 2025, brought together over 500 Ayurveda scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students from across India.
The discussions centered on illness management and wellness promotion in children, highlighting Ayurveda’s holistic approach to paediatric healthcare.
Union Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav, in his valedictory message, stressed that Ayurveda’s Kaumarbhritya branch can transform child healthcare by combining preventive, promotive, and curative approaches. He expressed confidence that the seminar’s outcomes will inspire new research collaborations and models to achieve Swasth Balak, Swasth Bharat.
Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, emphasized the importance of evidence-based validation and collaborative studies to integrate Ayurveda with modern healthcare.
Vaidya Devendra Triguna praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in taking Ayurveda and Yoga to global platforms and commended RAV and AIIA’s focus on paediatric wellness.
Dr. Vandana Siroha, Director, RAV, highlighted the active participation of young scholars through paper and poster presentations, reflecting a strong future for paediatric Ayurveda.

The seminar concluded with a consensus to mainstream Ayurvedic paediatric practices into India’s healthcare system, particularly to address lifestyle disorders, nutritional deficiencies, and emerging child health challenges.
The event reaffirmed Ayurveda’s relevance as a foundation of holistic child healthcare and called for continued platforms for national and global knowledge exchange.
