The NTA has issued a notice on January 5, 2026, ahead of the NEET UG 2026 registration window, highlighting the key documents that candidates must verify and update before applying.
As part of the advisory, applicants are required to ensure that their Aadhaar card details are accurate and up to date, including full name, date of birth, gender, photograph, address, and biometric information where applicable. Candidates who need corrections to their Aadhaar information must complete updates through the official UIDAI portal or at an authorised enrolment centre prior to registration.
Those applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must confirm that their Unique Disability ID (UDID) card is valid and renewed, as outdated or invalid certificates could lead to verification issues during the application process.
Students seeking reservation benefits under categories such as EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL are required to have current and compliant category certificates issued by competent authorities. All relevant documents should be ready and valid before the NEET UG 2026 registration period to prevent discrepancies, rejection of applications, or delays later in the process.
The NEET UG 2026 registration schedule and examination dates have not yet been announced. Advisers say candidates should monitor official NTA websites, including nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in, for updates on the application process and associated instructions.
