Medi Assist Completes Acquisition of Paramount TPA, Strengthens Leadership in Health Benefits Administration

Medi Assist Insurance TPA Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of publicly listed Medi Assist Healthcare Services Limited, has successfully completed the acquisition of 100% equity in Paramount Health Services & Insurance TPA Private Limited as of July 1, 2025.

With this acquisition, Medi Assist adds approximately ₹4,000 crore in health insurance premiums under administration to its portfolio, reinforcing its position as India’s largest health benefits administrator. The integration is expected to significantly expand Medi Assist’s provider network and unlock operational efficiencies through advanced automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

Paramount’s policyholders stand to benefit from Medi Assist’s robust technology infrastructure, including AI-driven fraud detection, automated claims processing, and predictive analytics that enhance service accuracy and speed. While both companies will continue to function independently in the immediate term, plans are underway for a formal merger in the near future.

Medi Assist offers a broad range of health benefits administration and digital services to the insurance ecosystem, both domestically through Medi Assist TPA and internationally via its overseas arm, Mayfair We Care.

The acquisition was previously disclosed by the company through letters dated August 26, 2024, and May 13, 2025, in compliance with SEBI’s listing obligations.

This strategic move is expected to strengthen Medi Assist’s capabilities in delivering scalable, tech-enabled solutions for health claims management while improving healthcare access and service delivery for millions of insured individuals across India.
