In a landmark achievement for women’s health, India has earned three Guinness World Records under the nationwide Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, a campaign aimed at promoting preventive and women-centric healthcare. Union Health Minister JP Nadda lauded this as a record-breaking milestone, marking a significant step towards building a Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar, and Viksit Bharat.
Held from September 17 to October 2, 2025, in conjunction with Poshan Maah, the campaign sought to improve health and nutrition outcomes among women, adolescent girls, and children. Its focus was on early disease detection, ensuring access to essential health services, and empowering families to adopt healthier lifestyles.
Under this initiative, more than 19.7 lakh health camps were organised across all districts of the country, witnessing an impressive footfall of over 11 crore people. The massive outreach underscores India’s growing commitment to preventive healthcare and community participation in national health missions.
The Union Health Ministry confirmed that the three Guinness World Records achieved include:
Most people to register for a health care platform in one month – 3,21,49,711 participants (over 3.21 crore)
Most people to sign up for a breast cancer screening online in one week – 9,94,349 participants (over 9.94 lakh)
Most people to sign up for vital signs screening online in one week (state level) – 1,25,406 participants (over 1.25 lakh)
The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reinforces India’s dedication to preventive, inclusive, and women-led healthcare. By combining technology, grassroots mobilisation, and the spirit of Seva, the campaign has set new benchmarks in public health engagement and awareness, paving the way for a healthier and empowered Bharat.
