Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday inaugurated the Patanjali Emergency and Critical Care Hospital at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, marking a significant addition to advanced emergency and critical care infrastructure in Uttarakhand.
The hospital has been established to provide 24×7 emergency services, intensive care support and timely clinical intervention for patients requiring critical treatment. The facility is expected to improve access to life-saving care, particularly for patients facing medical emergencies where early stabilisation and rapid response are crucial.
The centre is also expected to help reduce delays in treatment by strengthening local emergency response capabilities, easing the burden on existing hospitals and improving outcomes for critically ill patients in Haridwar and surrounding districts.
The inauguration forms part of the government’s broader push to expand healthcare infrastructure and improve access to critical services, especially in regions with rising demand for advanced medical care.
