Three days after Diwali, Delhi’s air quality continues to deteriorate, with the National Capital Region recording dangerously high pollution levels. On Thursday, October 23, the city’s average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 325 at 5:30 am, placing it firmly in the 'Very Poor' category.
Most areas across Delhi reported AQI levels between 300 and 400, while Anand Vihar recorded a severe spike, hitting 511 at 5:30 am, entering the 'Severe' zone (401+), the highest risk category.

Authorities and experts have urged residents of the NCR to limit outdoor activities and take precautions until air quality improves, ideally returning to 'Moderate' levels.
