Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has flagged off a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vehicle for the state health department in Tanakpur, aiming to strengthen emergency response and healthcare services in remote areas of the district.
The vehicle was provided by Bahl Paper Mill under its CSR programme to support the delivery of essential health services where accessibility has been a challenge. The deployment is expected to enhance the capacity of local health officials to respond quickly to emergencies and improve outreach for patients in underserved regions.
This initiative forms part of wider efforts to bridge gaps in rural health service infrastructure and ensure basic medical support reaches communities outside major urban centres.
The flag-off event was held alongside another CSR allocation to an educational institution, but the health department’s vehicle specifically addresses critical care transport needs in distant pockets of Uttarakhand.
The state government has been engaging with corporate partners to extend healthcare delivery mechanisms through targeted CSR contributions.
