The 10th Ayurveda Day will be celebrated at the premier All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa on 23rd September 2025, marking a historic milestone for the event.
The announcement was made by Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush, and Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav during his visit to the Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mount Abu, Rajasthan.
For the first time, Ayurveda Day will be observed on a fixed date, departing from the earlier practice of celebrating it on Dhanvantari Jayanti. It will also be the first-ever edition hosted by AIIA Goa, showcasing the state’s emergence as a global wellness hub.
While addressing the Conference of Senior Doctors, the Minister stated,
“This year's theme, ‘Ayurveda for People & Planet,’ reflects the Government's commitment to positioning Ayurveda as a sustainable global healthcare solution, benefiting both human health and the environment.”
He added,
“Goa provides the perfect global stage for Ayurveda Day. With its international outlook and deep roots in wellness, Goa will amplify this year's theme—'Ayurveda for People & Planet'. We are not just celebrating a tradition; we are taking Ayurveda to the world as a sustainable solution for modern healthcare challenges.”
The Ministry of Ayush has planned nationwide activities across all states and union territories, alongside global events in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs, Indian missions abroad, international universities, and wellness organisations.
Building on the success of last year’s celebrations in over 150 countries, this year’s observance aims to reach an even wider international audience, reaffirming Ayurveda’s role as a global health movement.
