Sanofi Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. (SHIPL) has announced a major expansion of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, committing to invest €400 million by 2030, including €100 million by 2025. The expanded facility is expected to scale up to approximately 2,600 employees over the next two years, making it the largest among Sanofi’s four global capability hubs.
The state-of-the-art office located in HiTECH City was inaugurated by Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Honorable Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Telangana. The event was also attended by Arunish Chawla, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, and Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France in Bangalore.
Sanofi operates four Global Capability Centres worldwide, described as strategic hubs that provide the company with a competitive edge in delivering enterprise solutions. These centres function as central nerve centres that enable modernization, centralization and scalability across Sanofi’s value chain. Services span commercial operations, manufacturing and supply, research and development, and digital functions.
Established in 2019, the Hyderabad hub has expanded rapidly from its origins as a Medical Hub to a global services centre supporting Sanofi’s worldwide functions and affiliates. The new facility is designed as a future-ready global talent hub, built to meet environmental sustainability standards while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sri Duddilla Sridhar Babu said, “The expansion of Sanofi's Global Capability Center in Hyderabad marks a remarkable step forward for Telangana's ever-growing prominence in the global pharmaceutical landscape. This substantial additional investment of over 400 million euros and the creation of over 2,600 jobs in the next two years underscore Telangana’s commitment to fostering a thriving environment for innovation and growth. We are proud to support Sanofi's vision of advancing healthcare and are confident that this expansion will significantly contribute to our local economy and the global well-being.”
Madeleine Roach, Executive Vice President, Business Operations, Sanofi, stated, “I thank Hon’ble Minister Sri Duddilla Sridhar Babu for welcoming Sanofi’s largest GCC and inaugurating our new workplace.
