ViCentra has announced the upcoming launch of its next-generation hybrid closed-loop automated insulin delivery system, set to debut in Germany and the Netherlands in early 2026. The system pairs the Kaleido patch pump with Diabeloop’s newly CE-marked DBLG2 algorithm and the Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor (CGM), enabling fully automated insulin delivery directly from a smartphone.

The Kaleido pump, CE-marked since October 2024, offers a user-friendly design with two durable, rechargeable pumps and infusion sets lasting three days, reducing waste and enhancing convenience. Users can choose between a short tube for on-body wear or a longer tube for pocket carry, with the flexibility to pause or remove the pump as needed.

During a pre-launch phase starting in fall, ViCentra and Diabeloop will collect real-world experience data before the full rollout in 2026. CEO Tom Arnold emphasized the system’s focus on improving life for people with diabetes, combining sleek design, smartphone control, and proven algorithms to make closed-loop therapy more accessible and human-centered.
