TI Medical, has introduced its next-generation hernia repair mesh, HIPOM, aimed at improving surgical precision and patient recovery. The product was unveiled at a launch event at JW Marriott, Kolkata, attended by leading laparoscopic GI surgeons from across the region.
The HIPOM-AB Mesh is designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and post-surgery comfort. Its large pore structure ensures strength without compromising patient comfort, while central markings assist surgeons with precise placement. A soft, absorbable edge minimizes tissue irritation, and pre-attached sutures make positioning easier. Additional features include a transparent sheet for better intraoperative visibility and drainage holes to reduce fluid buildup, lowering the risk of complications such as seroma formation.
Unlike traditional meshes, HIPOM-AB requires no special preparation and is compatible with standard laparoscopic instruments. By combining surgeon-focused design with patient-friendly features, TI Medical’s HIPOM sets a new standard in hernia repair technology.
