Thermo Fisher to Open Two New Facilities in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley by 2025
Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US-based global leader in scientific instrumentation, reagents, consumables, and software services, announced plans to establish two new facilities in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. Both centres are expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
The upcoming Bioprocess Design Centre (BDC), developed in collaboration with the Telangana Government, will focus on expertise in bioprocessing and process scale-up to accelerate the development of next-generation therapies.
In addition, the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) will demonstrate cutting-edge instrumentation and workflow solutions in areas such as molecular biology, proteomics, clinical diagnostics, and cell and gene therapy. It will also provide expert support in method development, technology adoption, and workforce upskilling for the life sciences sector.
The announcement was made during the Biopharma Conclave 2025. “India’s biopharma sector is poised for a giant leap, and we are deeply committed to enabling that outcome,” said Tony Acciarito, President, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Africa, Thermo Fisher Scientific.
