After an impactful series of showcases across Gujarat, SS Innovations International (SSII), the makers of India’s first indigenously developed surgical robotic system — achieved another major milestone as the SSII MantraM ‘Made-in-India’ Surgical Robot Yatra reached the Tea-Garden City of Dibrugarh, Assam. The initiative joined ASACON 2025, the annual conference of the Assam Chapter of The Association of Surgeons of India, held from October 24 to 26 at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.

In line with its mission to democratize access to advanced healthcare, SS Innovations International brought the state-of-the-art SSII MantraM unit to engage with doctors, medical students, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Attendees witnessed the unit in action and experienced how advanced robotic surgeries can now be guided remotely, underscoring India’s growing self-reliance in medical technology.

The Dibrugarh leg of the Yatra offered participants a hands-on experience aboard the MantraM Mobile Simulation Bus, an immersive platform showcasing the capabilities of the Mantra 3.0 surgical robotic system — a symbol of India’s innovation in surgical robotics. The event featured live demonstrations and expert-led training sessions, giving attendees the opportunity to explore how robotic-assisted surgery is redefining precision, safety, and accessibility in modern surgical practice.

The event drew participation from eminent doctors and surgeons from across Assam, engaging over 500 healthcare professionals. The SSII MantraM Yatra stands as India’s first mobile initiative to bring robotic surgical training directly to hospitals and medical institutions. Through these on-ground interactions, SSII is empowering doctors, surgeons, and trainees with the skills and knowledge to adopt advanced surgical technologies, paving the way for decentralized and equitable access to robotic surgery across the nation.
