SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII), a developer of innovative surgical robotic technologies dedicated to making robotic surgery affordable and accessible to a global population, has once again redefined the boundaries of innovation with the unveiling of the world’s first Tele Surgeon Console (TSC), SSII MantrAsana.
MantrAsana, the world’s first fully integrated, ergonomic and portable telesurgery console for remote precision operations is here to revolutionize the global robotics, beyond geographies. It demonstrates how surgical expertise can now be extended from the office of any expert surgeon to a smaller design of the Tele Surgeon Console (TSC) thereby not tying up the entire operating room to have access to the surgeon console to perform telesurgery. This revolutionary innovation in robotic technology marks a defining moment in the evolution of surgical care, enabling expert surgeons to operate remotely through a compact, self-contained robotic system, designed and manufactured entirely in India for the world.
The event was graced by eminent experts from across the medical and surgical community, including Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman, SS Innovations International; Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre; Dr. Vishwa Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer, APAC, SS Innovations International; Dr. Lalit Malik, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Jaipur Manipal Hospital; Dr. Somashekhar S P, Chairman, Medical Advisory Board, Aster DM Healthcare , GCC & India and Dr. Venkatesh Munikrishnan, Consultant Colorectal & Robotic Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals.
Speaking on the launch, Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman, SS Innovations International, said, “With the Tele Surgeon Console, we are taking a monumental step toward making advanced surgical care accessible to everyone. Through MantrAsana, TSC we are showcasing how Indian innovation can transform healthcare delivery by bringing the surgeon’s expertise directly to the patient regardless of geography. The smaller size of the console will literally allow surgeons to perform telesurgery from their offices. So now, one does not need to tie up the operating room or the entire Mantra system to perform telesurgery. There is a huge advantage because of the console’s smaller footprint, being a self-contained chair wherein all electronics are inbuilt into the chair. The surgeon wears very light weight glasses with a magnified 3D view and uses magnetic sensor-based controls to control the movements of the robotic system remotely. This should be looked at as an advancement whereby these smaller telesurgery units can be placed anywhere to extend the expertise.”
Speaking on the launch of SSII MantrAsana, Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, said, “This technology empowers surgeons to extend their expertise far beyond hospital walls. This will benefit patients, as now best surgeons and the highest standards of care will be available, regardless of location. MantrAsana, TSC represents a new era in surgical innovation, combining advanced robotics, precision controls and immersive 3D visualization to make remote surgery a reality.
Developed as part of SS Innovations International’s mission to decentralise excellence, the MantrAsana TSC allows expert surgeons to extend their robotic skills beyond physical boundaries and deliver lifesaving procedures to patients anywhere in the world.
MantrAsana, TSC is designed for efficiency, comfort, and connectivity. Its compact ergonomic footprint allows it to be installed in a surgeon’s office, enabling remote procedures without occupying an operating theatre. Surgeons experience seamless precision through an advanced headset offering magnified 3D HD visualization, while maintaining the same accuracy and outcomes as conventional robotic surgery. The MantrAsana, TSC also supports global collaboration, mentorship, and upskilling of surgical teams, aligning perfectly with SS Innovations International’s vision to democratize robotic surgery and expand access to advanced medical technologies. MantrAsana, TSC is expected to be commercially available by December 2025 in India and followed by global footprints.
