Roche has announced that it has received CE mark approval for integrating its Accu-Chek SmartGuide continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system with the mySugr diabetes management app.

The Basel-based company shared the milestone at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) annual meeting in Vienna, alongside new real-world evidence supporting its CGM solution, according to a report by Drug Delivery Business News.

Roche initially unveiled the Accu-Chek SmartGuide during the Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) 2024 conference and received its first CE mark for the AI-powered CGM in July 2024. The system’s integrated Predict app uses real-time glucose values and predictive algorithms to help users manage glycemic control and lower the risk of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.

Now, through integration with the mySugr app, users can access AI-driven predictive CGM insights directly within the platform. They can view and analyze their CGM glucose readings alongside other mySugr features—such as logging meals with photos to track blood glucose patterns, syncing data from other connected devices, and using the mySugr bolus calculator to assist with insulin dosing decisions.
