In a landmark move for emergency healthcare, RED Health, Asia’s only JCI-accredited and India’s largest emergency medical response platform, has partnered with Medanta Indore to launch the hospital’s first 5G-enabled Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance. The initiative was officially inaugurated on October 14, 2025, marking a transformative step in Indore’s healthcare infrastructure. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Sanjay Geed, Medical Director, Medanta Indore; Dr. Rajneesh Kachhara, Director, Neurosciences, Medanta Hospital Indore; and Dr. Tausif Thangalwadi, COO, RED Health.
As Indore continues to grow rapidly, rising population density and traffic congestion have placed increasing strain on emergency medical systems. The collaboration aims to bridge these gaps by combining cutting-edge 5G connectivity, real-time communication, and advanced medical expertise to deliver faster, smarter, and more effective emergency care.
The new 5G-enabled ambulance is equipped with SyncX technology, enabling the seamless transfer of patient data to Medanta’s emergency room in under two seconds. This real-time connectivity allows specialists at the hospital to monitor vital parameters, guide on-ground teams, and initiate critical care protocols remotely, ensuring hospital-grade treatment begins the moment the ambulance arrives on site.
Fully equipped with advanced life-support systems and manned by trained paramedics, the ambulance can handle critical medical emergencies with precision. The integration of 5G technology and remote medical supervision enhances the “golden hour” response, significantly improving survival outcomes for patients.
Through this collaboration, RED Health and Medanta Indore are redefining emergency medical response in central India, offering swift, tech-enabled, and life-saving interventions to patients in and around Indore. The initiative reflects both organizations’ shared vision of leveraging innovation to make emergency care faster, accessible, and more efficient for all.
