Greater Noida’s Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) has added a new mobile cancer-screening unit, donated by India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., to expand diagnostic services in underserved areas.
Unveiled on 4 December 2025, the vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including X-ray systems, a mammography machine, a colposcopy unit, a laboratory setup, dedicated cancer-clinic couches, a mobile office and all essential consumables required for cervical cancer screening.
The mobile unit aims to bring preventive healthcare directly to communities where access to cancer screening services is limited, with a special focus on early detection of breast and cervical cancers.
Operated by GIMS under India Yamaha Motor’s corporate-social-responsibility programme, the unit will reach remote and high-need populations that otherwise lack access to such diagnostic facilities.
