Curapod, a Made‑in‑India personalised wearable device for drug‑free pain relief and a product of Litemed, has been launched and registered with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as India’s first clinically validated non‑invasive pain management wearable.
The device uses medical‑grade photobiomodulation technology, delivering controlled red and near-infrared light to affected areas to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and support recovery from musculoskeletal pain. It is designed to address more than 30 pain conditions, including chronic back and knee pain, arthritis, tendonitis, sports injuries, and routine muscle strain, and is being adopted by physiotherapy centres and wellness clinics as well as early consumers seeking non‑drug solutions.
The wearable incorporates an adaptive therapy engine that dynamically adjusts treatment intensity in real time based on muscle response. A companion mobile application allows users to personalise therapy plans, monitor pain levels, track progress, and enables remote clinician review of usage data.
The device provides 100 per cent drug‑free therapy with no known side effects, comes with a one‑year warranty, and includes expert consultation.
Curapod is currently available across India through the company’s direct-to-consumer channels, with plans to list it on major e-commerce platforms from the first quarter of 2026, followed by broader retail expansion.
