Yashoda Medicity has appointed Prof. Dr. Rajinder Kumar as Principal Director and Unit Head of Neurosurgery at the Yashoda Institute of Neurosciences, further strengthening its advanced neurosurgical care. An internationally acclaimed neurosurgeon with more than 25 years of experience and over 7,000 cranial and spinal surgeries to his credit, Prof. Dr. Kumar has had a distinguished association with AIIMS, New Delhi, spanning over two decades.
Prof. Dr. Kumar completed his postgraduate studies at AIIMS, New Delhi, and is a Fellow of the University of Iowa, USA. He has also received advanced training in functional neurosurgery at AMC University, Amsterdam, Gamma Knife radiosurgery in the USA, and skull base endoscopy across Europe and the USA. His areas of expertise include functional, vascular, skull base, endoscopic, spine, and minimally invasive neurosurgery.
In addition to his clinical achievements, Prof. Dr. Kumar has an extensive academic portfolio with numerous publications in leading national and international journals covering neuro-oncology, pediatric neurosurgery, functional and endoscopic neurosurgery, and related fields. He has contributed innovative surgical techniques and instruments that have advanced neurosurgical practice.
