Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services has announced the appointment of Nitin Nag as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
With nearly 30 years of leadership experience across the healthcare and IT sectors, Nag brings a strong track record of operational excellence and strategic growth. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Cloudnine Hospitals, Manipal Ankur, Tech Mahindra, and MphasiS, where he led cross-functional teams across India, the UK, USA, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, and Malaysia.
Ujala Cygnus, backed by global growth investor General Atlantic and the Amar Ujala Group, currently operates a network of 28 hospitals with 2,800 beds, serving underserved communities in Tier-II and Tier-III cities across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Haryana. The healthcare network recently expanded through a strategic partnership with Amandeep Hospitals.
As the organisation continues to scale, Nag is expected to play a pivotal role in driving its mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare to regions with limited medical infrastructure. His appointment comes at a time of significant growth and renewed focus on strengthening regional healthcare systems across North India.
