Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre has rolled out a state-of-the-art robotic surgical system aimed at expanding its capacity to perform minimally invasive and complex procedures with greater precision and control.

The hospital has installed the Intuitive da Vinci robotic surgical platform, which includes a surgeon console, a patient-side cart with multiple robotic arms and a high-definition 3D vision system to support a range of clinically demanding operations.

The system is designed to enhance surgical accuracy and dexterity by translating a surgeon’s hand movements into real-time motion through robotic instruments, potentially improving clinical outcomes while reducing incision size, blood loss and recovery periods compared with traditional surgical approaches.

By integrating this advanced technology, Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre aims to broaden its surgical offerings across specialties that benefit from robotic assistance, such as urology, gynaecology and other complex intervention areas.

The launch reflects a broader trend in Indian healthcare toward adopting cutting-edge technologies to support minimally invasive, precision-focused patient care.
