
In a significant development for regional healthcare, Paras Health Panchkula has inaugurated Panchkula’s first-ever robotic surgical system, the Da Vinci Xi. The milestone marks a leap in medical innovation for the region, positioning the hospital at the forefront of advanced, minimally invasive surgical care.
The launch event, held at Paras Health Panchkula, brought together top medical professionals, senior government officials, and civic leaders. Chief Guest Shri Ajay Chagti, IAS, Secretary – Health, Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, lauded the initiative, stating, “It is heartening to see such advanced surgical technology being made available locally. Robotic-assisted surgery is no longer a thing of the future—it is today’s medical standard, and Paras Health is leading the way in making it accessible to patients in Panchkula and beyond.”
The event was also attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Manish Bansal, Director General Health Services; Sri Tarun Bhandari, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Haryana; Shri Jai Kaushik, Municipal Councillor, Sector 15 Panchkula; and Smt. Seema Chaudhary, former Mayor of Panchkula. Their presence emphasized the broader commitment from government and civic leadership to improving healthcare access and quality in the region.
The Da Vinci Xi system represents the latest generation in robotic-assisted surgical platforms, offering surgeons enhanced precision, 3D visualization, and better control during procedures. Its advanced technology enables complex surgeries to be performed through smaller incisions, leading to faster recovery, minimal scarring, and reduced postoperative complications for patients.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vineet Aggarwal, Chief Operating Officer of Paras Health, remarked, “Bringing the Da Vinci Xi to Panchkula is part of our mission to democratize access to best-in-class, patient-centric care. The robotic system will be utilized across various specialties, including urology, oncology, gynecology, and general surgery. With this development, patients in and around Panchkula can now access advanced surgical care without having to travel to major metropolitan centers.
