Narayana Health has achieved a major milestone in preventive cardiac care by conducting 11,786 free ECG screenings for women across its network of more than 20 hospitals and healthcare centres in a single day.

This landmark initiative supports the Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, a national campaign launched on September 17 by Narendra Modi, the Government of India’s Prime Minister, to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across the country.

Conducted on the same day, the screenings aimed to spread awareness about the critical importance of early detection of cardiovascular diseases among women—a group often underdiagnosed and underserved in cardiac care.

According to Narayana Health, this record-setting drive focused solely on women’s heart health, nearly tripling the previous year’s count of 3,797 ECGs conducted for both men and women. The 2025 campaign set a new global benchmark for the highest number of ECGs carried out in a single day by the organisation.

The effort was led by Narayana Health City in Bengaluru, which alone performed more than 5,500 ECGs in one day—marking the highest total ever recorded at a single facility.
