The Ministry of Ayush will organize a two-day Departmental Summit on “National Ayush Mission and Capacity Building in States” on 3–4 September 2025 at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi. The summit will be chaired by Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush, and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare.

The summit will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on State-Specific and Feedback Notes, reflecting grassroots-level perspectives. This participatory approach aims to strengthen and expand the National Ayush Mission (NAM)—a flagship program promoting Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, and Homeopathy.

As the sixth and final summit in a series of thematic events highlighted by the Prime Minister during the 4th Chief Secretaries’ Conference 2025, the deliberations will bring together Central and State officials, including junior officers, to foster capacity building.

In line with NITI Aayog’s identified themes, the Ministry of Ayush has led extensive preparatory activities, including orientation sessions and circulation of a Concept Note (6 May 2025). Six sub-groups have been created, each addressing critical mission areas and coordinated by Nodal States:

  • Financial Management & Monitoring – Rajasthan, Mizoram (Nodal: Rajasthan & Mizoram)

  • Organizational Structure & HR – Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim (Nodal: MP & Sikkim)

  • Integration with Modern Healthcare – Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh (Nodal: Chhattisgarh & Arunachal)

  • Quality Services & Standards – Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh (Nodal: UP & Himachal)

  • Quality Assurance of Ayush Medicine – Karnataka, Assam (Nodal: Karnataka & Assam)

  • Digital & IT-Enabled Services – Kerala, Maharashtra (Nodal: Kerala & Maharashtra)

The event will feature senior officials—Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Mission Directors—along with renowned experts such as Dr. V.K. Paul (NITI Aayog), Dr. V.M. Katoch (Former DG, ICMR), Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan, J.L.N. Shastri and others.

This summit reaffirms the Government of India’s commitment to integrating Ayush into the national healthcare framework, focusing on capacity building, quality assurance, and digital transformation to strengthen the National Ayush Mission.
