In a landmark move for cancer treatment in India, the Kolhapur Cancer Centre (KCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned Cancer Centers of America (CCA), marking a major step forward in international healthcare collaboration.
The formal signing took place at the KCC premises, with Dr. Suraj Pawar, Chairman and Managing Director of Kolhapur Cancer Centre, and Rajesh Manthena, Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of Cancer Centers of America, representing their respective institutions.
This strategic alliance follows an extensive review of KCC’s impressive 20-year legacy in oncology, advanced medical technology, and high standards of patient care. Recognizing KCC’s impactful work—having treated over 50,000 patients from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, and beyond—CCA has agreed to collaborate on a joint venture aimed at expanding access to top-tier cancer treatment.
The partnership promises to make world-class cancer care more accessible to both Indian and international patients. It will bring advanced technologies, innovative treatment protocols, and global best practices in healthcare management to Kolhapur and the region.
Joining the event virtually, Dr. Shalin Shah, Chairman of the Board at Cancer Centers of America, extended his congratulations and support. The event also saw participation from Dr. Reshma Pawar (Executive Director), Smita Raju, Dr. Yogesh Anap, Dr. Parag Watve, Dayakar P, and the dedicated team of doctors and staff at KCC.
This collaboration signals a new era in India's cancer care landscape. Together, KCC and CCA are committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and globally benchmarked oncology services—bridging the gap between advanced science and accessible care for all.
