Hindustan Zinc Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the redesign, upgradation and redevelopment of Rabindra Nath Tagore (RNT) Hospital in Udaipur, marking a major step toward bolstering public healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Under the agreement, Hindustan Zinc will back a comprehensive master plan to transform RNT Hospital into a future-ready, multi-specialty healthcare facility equipped with advanced medical technologies. The project is intended to increase access to quality healthcare services for residents of Udaipur and neighbouring districts, and to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide specialist care.
A key component of the collaboration is the establishment of a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at RNT Hospital. This facility will support advanced cardiac procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty and emergency cardiac care, helping to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes for cardiac patients in the region.
The initiative formalises Hindustan Zinc’s ongoing engagement with the hospital. The company has previously supported the development of cardiology and other departments at RNT Hospital and will continue to partner on expanding clinical and care capabilities as part of this redevelopment effort.
The MoU reflects Hindustan Zinc’s broader commitment to strengthening community wellbeing through targeted investments in healthcare infrastructure.
